Ask a question. It is researched on the web and answered in plain language, with links to every source it used.

AI Search answers a question in plain language. You ask something; the question is researched on the web and answered in a few paragraphs, with a numbered citation for every claim so you can open the source and check it yourself. It is a starting point for a question, not the last word on one.
The research and the answer are made by an open-source answering engine and a small AI model running on our own GPU servers. Nothing runs in your browser, and nothing needs an account.
Every question is searched on the web before it is answered. The search runs through our own meta-search server, which asks several search engines at once: Mojeek, Bing, Yahoo and Google. With Academic selected it also looks at arXiv, Google Scholar and PubMed. The model then reads what came back, follows up on it and writes the answer, citing the sources it actually used as [1], [2] and so on.
The model that writes the answer is a small one. It is quick and honest about its sources, but it can misread an ambiguous question or miss a nuance. When it matters, follow the citations.
The answering engine behind this page is Vane, open source. If you would rather run the whole stack yourself, with your own search setup and an AI model that never leaves your machine, its repository documents exactly that.
