Vocal Remover

Strip the vocals out of a song to make a karaoke or backing track. You get the instrumental as the main result, and the isolated vocals too.

Your music stays on your device. The AI separation runs in your browser — the song is never uploaded to a server. The first run downloads the model (about 66 MB); after that you can even disconnect from the internet and it still works.

What this does

This tool uses AI to separate a song into two parts: the instrumental (the music with the singing taken out) and the vocals on their own. The instrumental is the main result — a karaoke or backing track — and the isolated vocals are there too if you want them.

It runs entirely in your browser. The first time, it downloads a small AI model (about 66 MB) and then does the separation on your own device, using your GPU where available. Your song is never uploaded.

How good is it?

Very usable, not magic. On most songs the vocals come out cleanly enough for singing along or practising over, though you may hear a faint trace of the original vocal in busy sections. It is a two-stem split (vocals vs. everything else), so it does not separate drums, bass and instruments from each other.

If you need studio-grade separation, or the individual drums / bass / instrument stems, a higher-quality AI stem separator — a heavier model that runs on our servers and produces four separate stems — is coming soon.
